About Me
I am attending a Certification class for Web-based Training Design and Development. I have attended three courses to date and have enjoyed each one of them.  I became involved in this course through work. I work for Southern California Edison at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. I have been employeed there since 1980.
I work in the Health Physics Department as a Health Physics Supervisor. For those of you who are not familiar with nuclear, we are the group that provides radiation protection to the workers and the public.
It is a very challenging job and filled with learning opportunities on a daily basis. As you can probably tell, I enjoy learning. We control the contamination, package and ship radioactive waste, provide job coverage for workers doing work in the radiological areas of the plant. ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) is a program that directs all radiation workers to control their exposure to the lowest achievable exposure. You will be able to review those pages any time.
I have three children, all grown. My daughter is married and has a six year old son. She also works at the nuclear plant in the Health Physics Division. One son lives in Colorado and works in contruction and my youngest son lives here in the area and is a mechanic and off-road specialist.
I have lived in California most of my life. I was born in Idaho and moved to this area when I was 9. I graduated from San Clemente High School and never ventured far from here.
Here is a picture of my daughter, youngest son and myself.  I hope you enjoy my web pages.
